The process involves extracting a damaged root and drilling a hole into the jawbone, where a small titanium post (implant fixture) is surgically placed to serve as an artificial tooth root. Then dental implant healing caps are placed on top of implant posts after the procedure. These caps are temporary fixtures with cylindrical or dome-shaped and fit snugly over the implant to promote healing, shape gum line, prevent contamination, and facilitate osseointegration by maintaining stability and shielding the implant during the critical initial healing phase.The implant fixture is given 3-6 months to heal and achieve osseointegration, in which the bone fuses to the fixture, creating a solid and permanent base.
