What is Emax Veneer?

An Emax veneer is an ultra-thin shell made from lithium disilicate porcelain, one of the most advanced and durable dental ceramics available today. Designed to cover only the front surface of the tooth, Emax veneers instantly improve the colour, shape, size, and alignment of your smile while keeping most of your natural tooth intact.

What makes Emax veneers special is their lifelike translucency and high strength. They mimic the natural shine of real enamel, giving you a flawless yet natural-looking smile that blends seamlessly with your surrounding teeth. At the same time, they are tough enough to last 10–15 years or longer with proper care.

Why should you get Emax Veneer?

You should choose Emax veneers if you want a natural, long-lasting, and minimally invasive solution for improving your smile. They are perfect for correcting discolouration, small gaps, chipped edges, or slightly uneven teeth while keeping most of your natural tooth intact. With their superior translucency and durability, Emax veneers can give you a radiant, confident smile that lasts 10–15 years or more with proper care.

When do dentists recommend Emax Veneers instead of zirconia crowns?

Dentists often recommend Emax veneers instead of zirconia crowns if your teeth are generally healthy, correctly aligned, and do not require major bite correction or full coverage. Emax veneers are ultra-thin and require minimal enamel preparation, making them a conservative option that preserves most of your natural tooth structure. They are especially suitable if your main concerns are chipped edges, small gaps, mild discolouration, or slightly uneven teeth. Because of their translucent and lifelike appearance, Emax veneers are ideal for front teeth where achieving a flawless, natural smile line is the priority. In short, if your teeth are strong but you want to refine aesthetics with the least invasive treatment, Emax veneers are usually the preferred choice over zirconia crowns.

Why choose Emax Veneers over Composite Bonding Veneers or Traditional Porcelain Veneers?

When it comes to transforming your smile, not all veneers are created equal. The three most common options are composite bonding veneers, traditional porcelain veneers, and Emax veneers – and the differences in cost, durability, and results are significant.

Composite Bonding Veneers
In Australia, composite veneers cost AUD $700–$900 per tooth. While more affordable upfront, they only last around 5 years before staining, chipping, or needing replacement. Over time, this becomes a costly and frustrating cycle, and the aesthetic result is never as natural or as long-lasting as porcelain.

Traditional Porcelain Veneers
A step up from composite, traditional porcelain veneers in Australia cost AUD $1,700–$2,700 per tooth. While they are stronger and longer-lasting, they are often bulkier and less translucent, meaning they don’t achieve the same natural look as more advanced options like Emax.

Emax Veneers – The Superior Choice
High-quality Emax veneers are considered the gold standard in cosmetic dentistry thanks to their ultra-thin design, strength, and lifelike translucency. In Australia, Emax veneers cost AUD $2,400–$2,800 per tooth, with a set of 10 easily exceeding AUD $24,000–$28,000. In the USA, a set of 10 costs USD $20,000–$25,000.

With Glamjet, you can access the exact same world-class materials and expert dentists in Vietnam from just AUD $588 (USD $379) per tooth at a fraction of the price with a 7-year guarantee. In fact, research shows that over 90% of Emax veneers last more than 15 years with proper care.

Glamjet’s Exclusive Emax Veneer Packages in Vietnam

12 Emax Veneers – AUD $6,000 (USD $3,770) instead of AUD $24,000 in Australia or USD $24,000 in the USA.

16 Emax Veneers – AUD $8,000 (USD $5,020) instead of AUD $32,000 in Australia or USD $32,000 in the USA.

Experience world-class Dental Emax Veneers in Vietnam

At Glamjet, we hand-select only the most trusted and accredited dental clinics in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, known for their advanced technology, highly skilled dentists, and caring teams with years of international experience.

Unlike Australia, New Zealand, or the USA where the veneer process can drag out for 6 weeks, our clients complete their dream smile in just 4–5 days. Thanks to our partnered clinics' in-house dental labs and full-time technicians, your customised Emax veneers can be designed, crafted, and fitted all within a few days, so you only need to travel for 4-5 days in Vietnam. Some of our clinics are open on Saturday and Sunday which work well for our clients who are busy professionals and business owners.

Why choose Vietnam for Emax Veneers?

For context, Emax veneers in Thailand cost AUD $700–$899 per tooth, and in Bali AUD $550–$650 per tooth. With Glamjet in Vietnam, you’ll enjoy premium Emax veneers from AUD $580 (USD $379) per tooth with a 7-year guarantee—plus, over 90% of Emax veneers last 15 years or longer.

Please do not compare our packages with generic porcelain veneers (which are thicker and less natural) or zirconia crowns (designed more for strength than translucency). Emax veneers are thinner, more aesthetic, and the most minimally invasive option—ideal if you want a naturally flawless smile without compromising tooth structure.

How long do I have to stay in Vietnam to get Emax veneers?

Most clients complete their veneers in 4–5 days. Here’s what your treatment journey looks like:

Day 0: Arrive in Vietnam, check into your 4-star hotel.

Day 1: Consultation & smile design – including digital imaging, 3D scan, and mock-up of your new smile (approx. 3 hours).

Day 2: Veneers crafted in our clinic’s in-house lab. You can relax or enjoy a local day tour.

Day 3: Veneer fitting, adjustments, and final smile reveal (3–5 hours).

Day 4: Final check up.

Can I enjoy good street food if I am getting Emax Veneers In Vietnam?

You can eat and drink normally after your veneers are placed. For the first 7 days, we recommend avoiding hard foods such as bones, chewy steaks, or hard nuts, as you adjust to your new smile. You can eat Banh Mi & Pho as much as you want.

Glamjet Smile Makeover Journey in Vietnam

Day 0 - Welcome to Vietnam

Our friendly driver will meet you at the airport and take you straight to one of our trusted partner hotels for check-in. If you’d like to skip the long queues, we can also arrange a fast-track immigration service for just $70 AUD.

Day 1 – Your First Dental Appointment

You’ll head to the clinic for a full dental check-up and complimentary 3D Cone Beam X-rays (exclusive for Glamjet clients).

Our dentist will create your Personalised Smile Design, considering your face shape, skin tone, and your preferences. Once you’re happy with the design, you’ll sign a treatment agreement.

From there, our dentist will gently prepare your teeth by removing a very thin layer of enamel. You’ll receive temporary veneers or a bridge straight away, which you’ll wear for the next 1–2 days. (This visit takes around 4–5 hours).

    Day 2 – Relax & Explore

While our master dental technicians hand-craft your new veneers or crowns, you get the day off. No clinic visits today. Instead, you can relax or join one of our recommended day tours to experience Vietnam’s culture, food, and scenery.

    Day 3 – Smile Trial & Fitting

This is the exciting day! You’ll try on your new smile. You’ll share feedback with your dentist about the shape, colour, and how your bite feels. Our dental lab team will fine-tune everything to your liking.

Once you’re happy, your veneers or crowns will be finalised and sealed with a special LED light for a strong, long-lasting result. (This visit takes around 4–5 hours).

    Day 4 – Final Check-up & Travel Options

Your dentist will do a quick final check-up (about 30 minutes).

If you have extra time in Vietnam, we recommend exploring the country and trying different foods to fully test your new smile. You can return to the clinic before your trip ends for one last review.

If you’re short on time, you can fly home after 9pm on Day 4. This still gives our team enough time to make any last-minute adjustments if needed.

    Frequently asked questions

Is it safe to get dental treatments in Vietnam?

Yes. It is safe to get dental treatments in Vietnam if you go to reputable clinics. The cheapest clinics often hire dentists who are newly qualified or who only took short training courses sometimes just one or two weeks before they start working on international patients. Compare this to experienced specialists who spent years in dental school, then did extra specialist training for two to three years, and then worked doing the same procedures week after week for five to thirteen years. That experience really matters.

Studies published in dental journals like the British Dental Journal show that dentists with more experience get much better results, especially for cosmetic work like veneers and crowns (Patel et al., 2019). Experienced dentists have success rates over 95% after ten years, while less experienced ones have noticeably lower success rates (Beier et al., 2012).

Glamjet work with Vietnam's top dental clinics who are accredited with Vietnam Medical Board. Many of them have studied overseas or completed several further education courses. On of our partnered clinic also have Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation for clinic outside of America meeting American standards.

Our dental clinics use the same sterilisation protocols as any Western clinic. They have world-class facilities with latest technologies in dentistry to assist with digital smile design and treatment planning like 3D cone beam Xrays. The only difference? Their overhead costs are 70% lower.

By booking with glamjet.com.au, you are connected to the best dentists, dental clinics, and our care team to make your smile transformation a comfortable and memorable experience designed for holidays.

What if something goes wrong after my dental treatment in Vietnam or Thailand with Glamjet?

This is the question that stops most people from saving $40,000-$50,000 AUD on their dental work compared to Australia. Here's what makes Glamjet.com.au completely different! We're the ONLY dental tourism agency with a network of 5 partnered dentists across Australia to provide aftercare and emergency treatments.

If a crown loosens or a veneer chips, you won't spend weeks being rejected by local dentists who "don't touch overseas work." Instead, we cooperate with Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Gold Coast, and Perth dentists who can see you for repairs at fair prices.

Plus, because we store your complete digital smile design in our system, we can 3D print and ship replacement crowns or veneers within 7-10 days. Our local partners in Australia can seal them in place for a fee but it will be less than flying back to Vietnam. For our international clients, we ship replacements globally and coordinate with your chosen local dentist.

Let's be completely transparent. Complications can occur with any dental procedure, whether done in Sydney, New York, Auckland, or Ho Chi Minh city or Bangkok. Studies show the rate is identical at 2-5% globally (Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, 2023). Common minor issues include temporary sensitivity (resolves in 4-6 weeks), crown loosening (2-3% of cases), or minor chipping (1-2% of porcelain work). These complications are all easily managed locally through our network.

Our dental clinics' warranties cover manufacturing defects, implant failures, and structural issues for 7-20 years depending on the treatment. While warranty work must be done at your original clinic in Vietnam (flights/accommodation not included), glamjet.com.au's team help our clients with coordination, advocacy, and rebooking. Unlike booking directly where you might wait weeks for responses, our on-ground staff in Vietnam get answers within 24 business hours because we see these clinics daily.

The bottom line is that prevention is key. which is why we only work with accredited clinics using premium materials and dentists who have 8-20 years of clinical experiences. When issues arise, you're supported by Australia's only comprehensive dental tourism service. While others leave you stranded with language barriers and time zone delays, Glamjet provides 24/7 Australian support, local emergency care in Australia, and dedicated advocacy for all warranty claims.

We strongly recommend medical tourism insurance for protection. With over 98% success rates in implants and 100% satisfaction from our clients, Glamjet' clients can have high quality dental treatments overseas at a fraction of prices. Don't let fear of complications force you to pay for dental treatments. With Glamjet, you're never alone, even after you return home.

Would I regret getting dental treatments overseas?

The only regret our patients consistently express is: "I wish I'd done this years earlier instead of suffering needlessly."

Here's the reality. Dental regret has nothing to do with geography and everything to do with preparation and support. Patients regret choosing the cheapest clinic over the best clinic, booking alone instead of through a professional platform like glamjet.com.au , or worse - postponing treatment until they've lost more teeth, more bone, and more confidence. Many patients who book directly, chose solely on price, will not have aftercare support, and learn the hard way that saving an by avoiding professional guidance will cost them far more in complications and stress.

Think about what you're actually choosing between. In Australia, some of our clients pay $60,000 for dental implants and porcelain crown, drain your superannuation, possibly take money from off-set accounts, and still face the same 2-5% complication risk that exists globally. Many Australians regret spending their retirement savings on dental work, watching their peers travel the world while they're still paying off dental loans. With Glamjet, you invest $20,000 for the same treatment, placed by specialists who perform arguably more cases monthly than your local dentists. You're supported by Glamjet's network with local dentists in Australia, 24/7 online support. At the end, you'll have a beautiful smile, a memorable holiday, and $40,000 left for your future instead of a dental debt hanging over your head.

Let me share what our patients actually say: "I regret hiding my smile for 10 years when the solution was this simple" (Shane, Brisbane). The truth is, regret comes from inaction, not from smart action. Every day you delay, you're losing bone density, spending money on temporary fixes, and missing life's precious moments: your daughter's wedding photos, that promotion requiring confident client presentations, the dating life you deserve.

With Glamjet's comprehensive support, you're making the same intelligent choice that thousands of Australians, Kiwis, Americans make annually, just with better support than anyone else offers. The only question is: will you regret saving A$40,000 while getting superior care, or will you regret spending it unnecessarily?

Where is the best country to have dental work done?

The "best" country for dental work isn't about finding the cheapest option or the fanciest clinics. It's about finding the perfect combination of high quality, expertise, value, safety, and support. After facilitating over thousands of transformations, our dentists in Vietnam and Thailand consistently deliver this winning combination for our international patients. Vietnam offers the best value with costs at 30% lower than in Thailand. Both countries use the same premium materials (Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Dentium, Lava 3M, Ceramill, Emax and Lisi veneers,...). Our dentists employ specialists trained in the USA, UK, and Australia, and maintain JCI international accreditation.

Here's what makes Vietnam and Thailand superior to other dental tourism destinations. Unlike Turkey and Mexico, with 20+ hour flights, $2,000 airfare, Vietnam and Thailand are just 8-9 hours from Australia with flights from $650 return. Glamjet.com.au also provide translation for Vietnam and Thailand's top clinics. The weather is great for healing and vacations. Vietnamese food and Thai food are both very tasty and easy to eat. There are a lot of beautiful destinations in Vietnam and Thailand for you to visit during your smile makeover holiday.

But here's the crucial factor most people miss. The best country is the one where you have the strongest support system. This is why Glamjet exclusively partners with vetted clinics in Vietnam and Thailand. We have on-ground teams to visit clinics, speak local language, understand the culture, and can advocate for you instantly if needed. Glamjet is also the ONLY agency in Australia with 5 partnered Australian dentists for emergency aftercare when you return home. Our digital smile design workflow works seamlessly with Vietnamese and Thai laboratories for replacement parts.

We can plan all-inclusive package deals that include 4-star accommodation, airport transfers, and translators. The best country for dental work isn't just about the destination. It's about having Australia's most experienced dental tourism team ensuring your journey is safe, supported, and successful from consultation to years after treatment.

How long is guarantee period for dental treatments in Vietnam?

Our guarantee periods vary by material and location, giving you peace of mind for years to come. In Vietnam, veneers (Emax, Lisi) come with 7-year warranties, while zirconia crowns range from 5 years (DDBio) to 10 years (Ceramill, HT Smile) to 15 years (Lava 3M). For dental implants, warranties range from 15 years (Dentium) to 25 years (Neodent) to lifetime coverage (Straumann). These are manufacturer-backed global warranties. In Thailand, all zirconia crowns come with 7-year warranties, with implant warranties matching Vietnam's terms.

Important considerations! Revision or replacement cases receive shorter warranties determined case-by-case by your dentist, as the underlying tooth structure may be compromised. Crowns placed on root canal-treated teeth carry no warranty since the tooth's foundation is non-vital and more prone to fracture. This is standard practice worldwide.

All warranties require maintaining good oral hygiene, attending regular check-ups, and following aftercare instructions. With Glamjet, we will support you submit all warranty claims on your behalf and coordinate with our partner clinics to ensure any warranty work is completed smoothly. You'll never chase clinics for warranty coverage alone.

What are the most popular treatments that International clients often get in Vietnam and Thailand?

Emax Veneers are ultra-thin porcelain shells (0.3-0.5mm) made from lithium disilicate glass-ceramic that bond to the front of your teeth to transform your smile. They're the gold standard for cosmetic dentistry. They are stronger than traditional porcelain, with exceptional light-reflecting properties, translucency that mimic natural tooth enamel perfectly. Ideal for closing gaps, fixing chips, reshaping teeth, or creating a complete smile makeover, Emax veneers require minimal tooth preparation and last 10-15 years with proper care.

Zirconia Crowns are full-coverage caps made from zirconium dioxide, a white metal that's stronger than steel yet looks like natural teeth. Unlike old metal crowns with visible dark lines, zirconia is tooth-colored throughout, biocompatible (no allergic reactions), and incredibly durable - perfect for back teeth that endure heavy chewing forces or front teeth where aesthetics matter most.

Dental Implants are titanium posts surgically placed into your jawbone to replace missing tooth roots, topped with a crown to create a permanent replacement tooth. Think of them as artificial tooth roots that fuse with your bone through osseointegration, preventing bone loss and lasting 25+ years or even a lifetime with proper care.

All-on-4 Implants revolutionise full-arch restoration by replacing all teeth in one jaw using just four strategically angled implants to support a full bridge of teeth. You walk out with fixed teeth in 24-48 hours instead of wearing dentures.

All-on-6 Implants use the same concept but with six implants instead of four, providing extra stability for patients with larger jaws or higher bite forces, though the additional implants increase cost by about 20-30%.

Composite Bonding Veneers are the budget-friendly, reversible alternative to porcelain veneers. Your dentist sculpts coloured resin directly onto your teeth in a single appointment, reshaping and covering them without any drilling. They only last 2-5 years and can stain more easily than porcelain. Composite bonding costs less than Emax veneers and can be touched up or removed without permanent damage to your teeth.

How long do I have to stay in Vietnam and Thailand for dental treatments?

These are how many days you can expect to stay in Vietnam and Thailand for dental treatments:

    • Composite bonding 3 days (treatment done in 4-8 business hours) depending on how many units. You'll need to stay at least 2 days more for bite test and adjustments.
    • Emax veneers require 3 visits over 4-5 days in Vietnam. Please note, it'll take longer if you do with other clinics not Glamjet's partners. We spent years with dentists and dental labs to improve our process. Our labs are also working weekends for us. For reference, other clinics in Vietnam usually take at least 7 days plus weekends. In Thailand, same process takes 2 weeks.
    • Zirconia crowns require 3 visits over 4-5 days if you do more than 4 units. If you only need 1-4 teeth done, our dental clinics maybe able to do it for you in the same day.
    • Dental bridges require 3 visits over 4-5 days in Vietnam if you do more than 4 units. If you only need 1 bridge of 3 units done, our dental clinics maybe able to do it for you in the same day. In Thailand, 1 bridge takes 1 week.
    • Dental implants require 3 visits over 7-10 days. Most of treatments are done within the first two days. First day, assessment and treatment planning (3-4 hours). Second day, implant placement takes around 15 minutes per each implant. Extraction and dental implant can be done at the same time. With 95% of cases, bone graft, sinus lift, collagen membrane, dental implant can also be done at the same time. In Australia, it may take 6-9 months to do this complex bone graft procedure then dental implant because the dentist doing your implants may not know how to do bone graft. Our dentists are experts in end-to-end treatments related to dental implants. They have great clinical experiences built on doing implants daily. Whereas, western dentist may do this 1-2 times per week or even 1-2 times per month. In Thailand, you'll have to stay 14 days.
    • All-on-4 or all-on-6 implants require 3 visits over 8-10 days in Vietnam and Thailand. Require two trips if you want to get your final restoration: permanent bridge (it's recommended). Our dentists follow Malo technique which is all-on-4 techniques to restore smiles for patients loosing a lot of teeth. First appointment: assessment and treatment planning. Using 3D program, our dentists can calculate position of implants, lengths of each implant, and angle of placement to avoid nerve damages and long term stability of the case. Few of our dentists are specialists in angular implants placements and using longer implants to reduce the need for bone graft, reduce stress on dental implant fixtures during healing phase. In these complex cases where patients have significant bone loss over many years, suffer from complications after cancer treatments, sports injury, our dentists may uses special implants made for angular placements and angulated screw channels abutement to enable screw can be tighten at an angle and connect with temporary and final prothesis (fake teeth). Some bone contour or reshaping maybe required especially if your dental arch is misaligned. Or if you have Mandibular/Maxillary/ Bimaxillary prognathism. Second appointment: it takes about 15 minutes for 1 dental implant. One dental arch (upper/lower) takes about 1 hour-1.5 hours plus time for pain management. You'll need to eat liquid food for 1-2 days (not having teeth there). Then we will load temporary dental restoration for you (supporting bar and acrylic teeth, guarantee of 6 months). Then you can travel around Vietnam and come back for final check up and adjustment when your gum heals a bit more before you returns home. Please eat soft food and not hard food right away. When implants have just been placed, they are not integrated with your jaw bone yet. We have to wait for this process which takes about 6 months. After 6 months, you can come back and our dentists will unscrew the temporary bridge and make the final ones. This will take about 8-9 days as well.
    • Root canal: it's impossible to say in advance how long it will takes. It'll depends on how severely impacted is your tooth. Do you have tooth abscess? It is painful pus-filled infection that occurs at the root of a tooth or in the surrounding gums, typically caused by untreated decay, gum disease, or injury. Our surgeon may need to pop it or do minor surgical procedure to cut it and drain the abscess, put medication for it to dry out, clean the canal. If you have bone loss from abscess going to big, they need to do bone graft, collagen membrane, and even gum grafting. After that, dentist can move to next part of treatment to restore the tooth. If the tooth is really week, dentist may need to add an anchor post before doing a zirconia crown to protect all sides of the tooth. If it's a smaller fracture, dentists may add inlay or onlay to restore the tooth.
